History:In 2003 Sharpline set a goal to introduce the softest cutting, smoothest slide cutting scissor we have ever produced. The Avanté scissor being made from premium grade Hitachi ATS34 alloy, high in molybdenum allowed us to make a scissor with super fine edges the equal to any in the world.
Construction:Two piece welded. Hitachi ATS34 alloy blades. Rockwell hardness 59 to 61. Computer controlled, vacuum furnace hardening with nitrogen injection sub-zero slow recovery tempering (performed twice). Corrosion resistant handles. Rylon balance face riders. Integrated click type in-built adjustment assembly.
Design features:Super Ergo handle have been designed by Sharpline to fit and contour to the natural hand shape and allow grip and comfort. Flat, low profile blade geometry that translates to super fine cutting edges. The Avanté scissor is primarily a wet cutting precision scissor, not suitable for more than minimal dry cutting.
Edge type:Avanté scissors have a super soft cutting feel. Fine hand finished edges especially suitable for slide cutting and point cutting.
